Cassandra1

If you could see all horrible moments of the future

But no-one believed you

Would you go jitter-bug loopy?

Would you gibber ironically in frigid moonlight?

Bug shot and boasting tomorrow’s lotto results

Oh Cassandra princess of Troy

She sees the vigorous destruction of the city

Perfect prophetess

Luring Apollo with your milky breasts

Spurning a god

He curses fire and

Mind like a whole ward of twisted wreckage

Hiding in the temple of Athena

Kidnapped by Ajax

Detritus detritus he comes for her at night

With claws and fangs and a phantasmagoria of emotion

Everything mapped out iterating and reiterating

Frustrated beyond coherence

Tripped out over and rotting

Flipped past lover Agamemnon

Paired slaying as a concubine

Lost in yet to be

balanced-rocks-1

Precarious
Life is precarious
I may start to lose focus
Start worrying about worrying
Catastrophizing and creeping towards insanity
Isn’t it important just to let anxiety go?
Watch paranoia pass into nothing
And be in the present
Not fearing the future
Or ruminating in the past
But applying conscious thought to each action
To get it together

seven

Morning time four am
Seven rows of teeth
Want a black void
Black as boots
Black as the death of a child

Evening time six pm
Seven bloodshot eyes in fur
Want total totalitarianism
Blood on the streets
And blood in the mouth

Morning time five am
Seven horns of brass
Want a valley full of bones
Slowly reducing to dust
And symbolising the future for all

Evening Time eleven pm
Seven wan but wonderful women
Swoon into the arms of a stereotypical man
Entwine lips in a profound kiss
And know that they are loved

Morning time five am
Seven sexy succubuses
Want to suck out my chi sexually
But the moment of sexual release
Will be worth death

Evening time eight pm
Seven diamond encrusted celebrities
Want so much to be alone
But are stalked by paparazzi and publicists
Until they OD on adoration

Morning time seven am
Seven lonely cleaners
Want to be delivered from their suffering
Earn barely enough to pay the rent
And dream of wealth and education
