WookieeWarriors

Take your medicine you flagrant wookie

Spread mercurochrome first lover unannounced

Bend unwatched while my delusions frenzy

Slake magnificent hart crane harlequinss

Laura will I love you make this weird

I will take you to places feared

Mark my innocence before your spittoon

Hide out with me in a sacred room

And that’s what makes it so magical

The moments when I talk to you

I can’t believe what you’re saying

And I know what you’re displaying

Talking to me

Through your primitive ancestry

Lurking beneath algic fronds

Like an octopus

Magnifying stars

In dodgy bars

Be with me baby

Until mutant time

Makes geeks sublime

Watch what people say

Not what they do

Don’t listen when they say you’re wonderful

Blowing smoke up your ass

Don’t get ripped off

Don’t get conned

When a guy with tattoos on his face says he can get a stick around the corner

Don’t give him money

Don’t be a chicken dinner

Don’t be a victim

Hold your head high to encourage respect

Don’t be a mark

Don’t be a chump

Pick yourself out of the gutter and stare at the stars

So that you may know in your heart you are here for a reason

galaxies

Imagine a multiverse

Universe piled on universe like lasagne

Intricate membrane universes

All slightly different

Infinite galaxies

Infinite stars

On some stars planets just like ours

With people just like me

Wondering wildly at the stars

Diamond skies

Transcendent visions

Heavenly confusion

Thinking about the billions of galaxies

Changing and inflating

Whirling and twirling

Detritus of the Big Bang

earth

Wonder at the Earth- a jewel in black velvet space
Sea blue globe with swirling clouds like ripped gauze
Stars pinpricking light into my eyes
Each one a sun, maybe with planets rotating around in an ancient spin
Each one a whole encompassing reality for it’s inhabitants
And cryptic crazy aliens meeting my gaze across the cosmos with greenish translucent skin and feet like frogs
Each one of us living out the meaningless tedium of life
Buoyed by intermittent bursts of serendipity and joy
Overwhelmed by emotions at times
Like tidal waves crashing on sandy shores
We must hold them in and then forget them
Oh to be free of this puzzle box life
Stuck on the Earth with all the other suffering beings
I dream of whirling my brain through galaxies and nebulas,
Dodging black-holes, spiralling across the universe
A spirit on axis grokking the cosmic light at hyper-speed
Hold my hand while we encompass each flaming star
And dance with me my darling, as time bends around us

bowie
Ah the transcendent bastardry of life
The way a wonderful woman is always over the horizon and unobtainable
The way jealously poisons friendship
The way pretension ruins talent
The way everything reduces to blood, spit and unfulfilled desires
The way ugly old people always look so sad
The way youth festers and crumbles into middle aged mediocrity
The way my younger brother died of unknown causes in Laos
The way the Star-man never descends from the sky to take us away from this painful earth
The way David Bowie is dead
The way I can’t tell the crazy from the sane
The way the stars are pin-cushioning my brain
The way the voices of hell are in my head
The way I lie each night in an empty bed
The way it is not the way I want Universe to be
But maybe the problem is me

night2

That energy that fuels the force of light
Drives towering trees to skies and thrusts stars higher
To coruscate like glitter in my eyes
Charging my heart and bedazzling the sky

A full moon haunts the hobo-hungry night
Diana on her hunt to queer her circle
Moonlight silvers patches on the plains
And cold soft light is mingling with the marshes

What ghosts now haunt the miscreant night?
What eyes gaze through groaning gloomy glass?
Haunting thoughts and flickering metal silence
Cold fingers clutch me from a tomb

Oh take me to a world beyond pain
Where I am perennial and eternally waiting
Where there are no more tears and no pointless lust
And only peace and silence and love
Numb and kind of Stoned
Perhaps enlightened

Aliens

alien
I call on the stars with my jack-weasel mind, rail against them with my pistol emotions,
The stars do not reply.
Is there a gesticulating someone out there wishing and dreaming back at me?
Constructing metaphors, wondering if I’m out there, pondering back at him.
The whole vast blanket of the night-sky stretches out for light-years, and contains infinite mysteries.
I am just one of them- it sets my heart afire with possibilities:
Will they ever come to visit? Have the already arrived?
Will they implant alien technology in us to control our thoughts?
Do they want to anal probe us and have kinky sex with us?
Who can know?

The Night

night
I fondle the night while faceless creatures whisper,
I hide from the stars when they twinkle a tune,
I want to get under it over it through it,
I inhale the stardust, the moon-dust, the blundering incoherence of just being;
But I cannot see well and everything’s gone blue.
I wonder: who encases the circuit of longing?
How do the trees remain so green and welcoming?
I ask the moon but it remains silent and glacial.
Where am I going and what am I doing?
I remain ambivalent as I have the night and its exquisite furry children.
I see their glowing eyes and hear them scuttle.
And when the night sucks the colours from my flesh,
Spinning a vortex with fangs of glass,
I let the day flow from my veins to the ends of my withered fingers,
Over the waters of my sorrow I am dragged onward and outward,
Out of being and time,
And Into the cool air and shadowy silence of nowhere.
